About Me — Counselling Services in East Grinstead
I work in East Grinstead as an integrative counsellor for both individuals and couples. I have worked in various organisations including the NHS, the YMCA, the West London Centre for Counselling and Croydon Drop-In.
I have experience with a wide range of issues and work with people from all different backgrounds, life experiences and cultures. I have considerable experience working with young people (I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate), as well as both personal and professional experience of working with people with autism, and with learning difficulties.
As well as counselling I’ve worked in finance and business roles within private organisations, schools and media companies. I understand the pressures and stresses of juggling a busy work and family life, and the challenges of long-term caring responsibilities. I re-trained as a counsellor after my personal experiences of attending counselling proved transformative within my own life.
I am passionate about providing a safe, non-judgemental, empathic space to help find some answers to life’s difficulties and enable people to feel empowered within their own lives.
Our work together will be led by what you are hoping for from counselling and whatever you would like to talk about and explore in your sessions.
I believe in and utilise the power and strength of mindfulness, and compassion towards self and others, within my work.
